How to choose connectors and penetrators
Penetrator or connector
A penetrator is cheaper, smaller and seals the cable permanently. A connector lets you unplug a thruster or sensor to service it. Our guide compares the two by cost, depth and maintenance.
Thread first, then cable diameter
The thread (M6, M8, M10 or M14 here) must match the hole in your end cap. The seal must match the cable's outer diameter: a seal made for a thicker cable will leak.
Wet-mate is a separate rating
A connector rated for depth is not necessarily rated to be plugged in under water. Unless the manufacturer says it can be mated wet, connect it dry.

Are these connectors wet-mateable?
Not by default. Treat every connector here as dry-mate unless its product page quotes the manufacturer rating it for mating under water.
Does a penetrator's depth rating cover the whole cable entry?
It covers the penetrator installed as the manufacturer describes, with the specified seal on the specified cable diameter. The end cap it threads into and the cable itself have their own limits.
